The owners of this property looked to Kestrel Kitchens to renovate their tired and dated kitchen with a fresh modern look.
Owner, John, said, “We were happy with the footprint and layout of the kitchen and so set about contacting kitchen manufacturers to get some quotes for a replacement. They took time to understand our needs and offered original ideas that enhanced our kitchen design. They also advised us on what building, plumbing and electrical work would be required, and project managed this process so that we were kept fully informed at every stage.”
A flat doored design with groove detailing from our Marriott Collection was chosen for the cabinetry. High level cupboards were painted in Farrow and Ball Cornforth white to match the wall colouring, with base level units finished in Fired Earth dark grey. High quality Quartz worktops with a marble effect finish were installed throughout, providing a durable, modern and seamless look.
The kitchen design includes bespoke features as John explains, “The designer, Carl, was able to integrate custom additions to our kitchen that enhance the look and feel as well as being practical. These included the installation of cupboards and a surround for our fridge freezer that can be easily removed if access is required behind, and an angular edge to the base units to accommodate access for this appliance if it needs to be replaced.”
“We also welcomed the ideas of a frosted glass display cabinet with integrated lighting, attractive custom open shelving and a beautiful waterfall edge to the breakfast bar. Small details such as the curved design on the splashbacks and the addition of under cupboard lighting add to the kitchen’s luxurious appeal. The end result is fantastic and the perfect accompaniment to our home as the kitchen now flows through to our informal dining area and the orangery outside.”
