The owners of this Norfolk farmhouse have completely refurbished their property, converting the existing living room and adding an extension to create a magnificent open plan kitchen, dining and living area with beautiful views overlooking their garden.
The stunning kitchen has a mix of cupboards, drawers and open shelving, plus the addition of a hidden pantry door that has been designed to perfectly match the cabinetry. The concealed door has been expertly crafted to offer a bespoke solution and includes high level details such as its hinges and a fire strip to remove any natural light coming in from the pantry window.
The home owners chose a Farrow and Ball California collection colour called ‘tar’ for their main cabinetry and we were able to match this perfectly in our in-house paint workshop. We then added a natural wood stain for the centre island to provide a sophisticated contrast to the deep shade of the surrounding units.
A large centre island helps to connect the space, providing room for informal seating, appliances and additional storage. Luxurious Quartz worktops complete the finished look.
Pocket doors have been used on larger cupboards to provide versatility and ease of use, and the kitchen’s open shelving also includes an elegant hanging glasses display, complete with integrated lighting.
Owner Isobelle said, “We’re absolutely over the moon with how the kitchen has turned out. Kestrel Kitchens helped us to create a totally bespoke design for our new layout and were so helpful, matching our colour choices exactly and offering lots of advice on how to achieve our desired look. The concealed pantry door is one of my favourite parts of the kitchen as it fits seamlessly into the design and it’s something very special and unique just for us! Their attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is second to none.”
As part of the renovation, Kestrel Kitchens also fitted out the home’s boot room and created a bespoke media entertainment centre.
